Academy Award Giveaway
The Academy Awards are this weekend, and we at Tin House are as excited as everyone else to see who will be snubbed, whose breasts will be exposed, and who will be the last-minute addition to the dead-people montage.
Since we’re on the verge of publishing what David Shields has called “the definitive new-Hollywood novel”–Matthew Specktor’s American Dream Machine–we’re giving away an advanced copy to whomever can successfully predict how the Academy is going to behave. In the comment section (or on our facebook page) give us your picks for each of the following categories:
Best Picture
Best Director
Best Actress
Best Actor
Best Supporting Actress
Best Supporting Actor
Best Original Screenplay
A full list of nominees can be found here. In the event of a tie, we’ll draw a name or two from the pool (which, coincidentally, is the same manner in which the Academy awarded Forrest Gump with Best Picture)
