The Tin House Podcast: Get Me To The World On Time, with Luis Urrea

Guess whose back in your literary house?

On this month’s Tin House Podcast, our man Luis Alberto Urrea preaches on the importance of place in your writing. “You don’t come from a place, you come from a story,” Luis says. “Every place you know, every place you try to create, means something because there is a story attached, even if you haven’t recognized that yet.”

Luis’s biography includes having published 13 books, including Queen of America, The Hummingbird’s Daughter, and The Devil’s Highway, a finalist for the Pulitzer Prize.

A summer that brings Luis back to the Tin House Workshop (which is where this lecture was recorded) is always cause for celebration. Have a listen and see why.
